A teaching that draws lessons from David’s encounter with Saul before going to face Goliath. It’s an admonition to the believer to stay with what’s proven in God’s word – prayer, the word… as he goes about making disciples, rather than seek gimmicks or unproven methods. It encourages the believer to trust in what God can do and in the wisdom of the Spirit rather than in his own strength or wisdom.
