This teaching focuses on the need for God’s man to build capacity and character as he shepherds people into God’s plan for their lives. It emphasized that the true test of one’s character will show in the day of adversity thus God’s man mustn’t run away from experiences that are meant to strengthen him, rather he must learn to endure hardness as a true soldier.
